WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Worlds

There are three questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you will read next?

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt which is our February pick for our AboutTome bookclub. I’m only 200 pages into this 800-page book so I don’t have much of an opinion yet.  However, I’m really enjoying being swept away by her writing which is every bit as lyrical and descriptive as it was in The Secret History.

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle which I had high hopes for but it ended up falling short of those expectations a little bit.

I also picked up Binti by Nnedi Okorafor which was a really short but imaginative Sci-Fi adventure. I liked the world Okorafor created but I felt a little short-changed and needed more plot and character development.

What do you think you will read next?

I really need to read my Atwood for the month which I hope will by Oryx and Crake but I also want to read some YA. I haven’t read any YA since August so I need to sort that out! If anyone has any great YA recommendations let me know!

  1. I recently finished Seven Deaths too and am struggling to write my review on it! I know what you mean, in some ways it was amazing, but in others had so many faults!

  2. I’m sorry to hear Evelyn Hardcastle didn’t manage to blow you away! I hope you will enjoy The Goldfinch. Have a wonderful week and happy reading!
