WWW Wednesday 22/08/2018.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Worlds

There are three questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you will read next?

What are you currently reading?

I’m attempting to finish 11/22/63 by Stephen King at some point this month! So far I am on page 265 which according to goodreads is 30% of the way through… I fear it could take a while.

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier and LOVED it. I also finished the audiobook of My Name Is Leon by Kit de Waal too but fell asleep for the last hour or so! I will have to go back and revisit it before I attempt a review on that one!

What do you think you will read next?

I recently heard a friend rave about A Sky Painted Gold by Laura Wood and I am very eager to dive into it straight away. It is set in the 1920s and features cocktail parties so I am totally up for the Gatsby vibes this book is already giving me!

  1. Rebecca is one of my all-time favourite books – glad you enjoyed it! And love that dreamy cover for A Sky Painted Gold – might have to add it to my list!

  2. I read Rebecca so many years ago that it really needs to be re-read….and I do have a copy of the book sitting on a nightstand. But…so far I’m still reading books on my TBR.

I don’t read a lot of Stephen King, but I LOVED 11/22/63. The whole JFK thing tipped the scales for me, and the time travel was the kind I could get behind.

Thanks for sharing…and here’s MY WWW POST

    • Haha yes my tbr is so long I haven’t had much time for rereads lately either! I’m still on the fence about 11.22.63 but I’m not even half way yet so I’m going to keep on going and see how it all pans out!

  3. I love Rebecca! I’m still hoping to read “Jamaica Inn” this year, but I always get distracted by other books. Are you enjoying the Stephen King even though it is taking some time? I’m gonna be honest and say that I’ve never read any Stephen King but plan to rectify that this fall by picking up his short stories collection “Different Seasons.” Love your blog and am now a follower! 🙂 Here is my WWW post if interested: https://greatmorrisonmigration.wordpress.com/2018/08/22/www-wednesdays-august-22-2018/

    • Hi! I’m looking forward to reading Jamaica Inn at some point too but I think I’m going to read My Cousin Rachel first. I’m not sure how I feel about 11.22.63 yet but I have read other King books like It and Carrie and really loved them. I think I’m gonna give it some time! I haven’t heard of different seasons but I’ll have to check it out!
